Dr James Annear is an experienced and dedicated skin cancer practitioner with over a decade of specialized experience in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancers.

Initially a general practitioner in Western Australia, James noticed an increasing number of patients presenting with skin cancer, which inspired him to focus exclusively on dermatology. In 2009, he relocated to Sydney to practice solely in the field of skin cancer care.
James holds an MB BS from the University of Western Australia, a FRACGP (Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners), and a Diploma of Practical Dermatology. He has further honed his expertise by undertaking multiple advanced courses in dermoscopy and both surgical and non-surgical techniques for skin cancer treatment, ensuring that he is equipped with the latest, most effective methods for diagnosing and treating skin cancers.
With a specialization in the management of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and other skin conditions, James is committed to providing personalized care that empowers patients to take control of their skin health. He emphasizes the importance of regular skin checks and proactive sun protection to prevent skin cancer .
James is known for his compassionate approach, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment journey. He stays at the forefront of skin cancer care by continuously advancing his knowledge and applying the most current, evidence-based techniques.
Outside of his clinical work, James enjoys golf and sailing, activities that allow him to unwind and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
