Dr Elmira Najafi is an experienced procedural and surgical doctor with a strong foundation in general surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine with advanced training in Emergency Medicine.
As a member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia, Dr Najafi focuses her clinical practice on the comprehensive management of skin cancer, from early detection to surgical treatment. Her everyday work includes full-body skin checks, lesion biopsies, and the medical treatment of skin cancers where appropriate. She performs a wide range of surgical procedures, including advanced excisions with skin flaps and grafts, particularly on cosmetically sensitive areas such as the nose, ears, eyelids, and lips.
In addition to cancer-related procedures, Dr Najafi offers minor skin surgeries such as mole removal, cyst and lipoma excision, and scar revision. Her meticulous technique and aesthetic eye—enhanced by her training in facial anatomy and aesthetic procedures with Galderma—enable her to achieve excellent cosmetic results. She combines surgical precision with a patient-centred approach, ensuring both functional outcomes and visual restoration.
